Studio setup
Add an artist to your roster
For: Studio owners and managers
Where: Studio → Roster → Add to roster
The Roster is for people who do the work at your studio. Staff is for people who help run the studio, such as front desk and managers. An artist does not need a staff login just to see their own schedule.
- Open Roster and select Add to roster.
- Search by name if the artist already uses Kiroku, or enter their email address to invite them.
- Choose Resident or Owner / principal as their roster type.
- Choose their Craft: what they primarily do. If they do more than one enabled craft, select the others under Also does.
- Select Add to roster.
Kiroku emails an invitation. An existing Kiroku artist confirms it in Artist; someone new creates an artist account first. They join your active roster after confirming. You can check their status on Roster.
Already imported an active artist? Use Settings → Migration report → Send activation email when that option is available, rather than inviting the same person again.
What happens next? Bookings for the artist appear in their Artist schedule. Studio staff can book them. To let the artist also manage bookings on their own calendar column, follow the next guide.
