SMS opt-in for studio clients
Studios on Kiroku send transactional texts about appointments, waivers, and booking updates. Consent is collected by the studio (the end business), not as Kiroku marketing signup.
Opt-in types
- Verbal — front desk / walk-in intake (script below)
- Web form — checkbox when a mobile number is saved in studio intake or the client portal
Message frequency varies with bookings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
Verbal script (studio desk)
Staff say this (or equivalent) when collecting a client mobile for the first time:
“Can we text you from [Studio Name] about appointments, waivers, and booking updates? You can reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.”
When the client agrees, staff check the SMS consent box in Kiroku (create client, walk-in, or edit contact) before saving the number.
Web form (client portal)
Clients who manage their details in the studio's client portal see an unchecked consent checkbox naming that studio before a mobile number can be saved (when consent has not already been recorded). The same checkbox appears on studio desk intake when staff add a phone.
