How clients, projects and bookings fit together

Kiroku connects the person, the work, and the time on the calendar:

• A client is the person your studio works with. Their studio workspace brings together contact details, projects, appointments, waivers, payments and history.
• A project is a piece of work for that client. It gives a consultation, multiple sittings and their related details a shared place to live. For a single piercing, the project may be just one sitting; a tattoo or laser course may span several.
• A booking is one appointment on the calendar. It answers who, when and which artist. Attach it to the right project so the team can see what the appointment is _for_ and what still needs doing.

For example, a client might consult about a sleeve and return for three sessions. That is one project with four bookings, rather than four unrelated calendar entries. When you open the client or a booking, you can follow the work and check the relevant waiver, deposit and next step.

This is why Kiroku covers more than scheduling. The calendar helps you run the day; the client and project keep the work connected before and after each appointment.

Artists also have a private Records area for their own work history. It is separate from the studio's client workspace. A studio booking can be linked to an artist record without making private record content visible to studio staff.
